One more time, and if this post gets deleted again, I give up.
Met up with my Poveda friends for lunch in Cantina. It's been several months since I last saw the UP people (Aileen, Nikko and Joy) and people are changing so fast. Or maybe it's just me. A repeat of fifth grade. My friends are outgrowing me, and I'm stubbornly at a standstill. Which kind of makes it my fault. Oh well...it was inevitable, what with us going off to different courses and colleges. I'll meet them again for Aileen's birthday. Hopefully, this feeling of displacement will be gone by then.
Had our workshop in nonfiction. It was great...my groupmates were fun, and their works were great. Two essays especially appealed to me. The first one, about being a DJ, made me think of a poem. It's an abstract poem that keeps you guessing for some time. The second one, about gender equality from the point of view of a guy, kept me laughing the whole time. And it did have a point. And they liked my essay, Childhood Home, about our house in Bulacan, so I'm happy. :) I don't feel like explaining that thing about the girl that annoyed me, Yumi and Ina. Let Yumi tell that story.
Had dinner with my family in Friday's in Manila. My sister gave me this CD she and her boyfriend, Jim, made with songs of Fire on 405. it was great....though not as good as usual. Which is understandable since the whole band couldn't record a CD for me, with their hectic sched, so it's just my sister's voice and Jim's guitars, with some added tricks.
Today, I got back my theo exam. I flunked. Which makes it near to impossible for me to pass the class, what with the 1.05 I got before. Fr. Dacanay's a great teacher...heck, one of the best in Ateneo. Unfortunately, he's way out of my league...too much a challenge for my mental capacity. I think I'll go for an easier teacher next sem before I flunk out of Ateneo.
