Trapped
On our way from my sister's apartment after the wedding in Pampanga, my parents were talking about the newly married couple.
Mom: Kaya pala sobrang napostpone yung kasal nila kasi di raw maiwan ni Arnel ang mga magulang niya.
Dad: O nga. Ang bait nga ni Arnel eh. Ganyan rin si Edlyn. Diba, Edlyn?
Whoa. Talk about emotional blackmail. Damn it. Every time I talk to them, I feel as if there's a noose on my neck that keeps getting tighter and tighter.
