So, I really did go to school today. You wouldn't even realize I didn't really have classes today. My parents didn't. I mean, I woke up at 5:30 am, which is normal for me on Fridays. I went to mass with my parents at 6:30. And was in Ateneo by 7:30. There were still some people who really did have classes today, so I blended in in school. Nobody knew I had no classes. Except maybe if someone followed me throughout the entire morning and saw that I never entered any classroom.
So, I got dropped off in Xavier Hall, and headed straight for the bulletin board in EDSA walk to check the random number list. I got 21! It's the first time since the random numbers began that I got a number below 25. I think I'm one of the earliest in the block. Most of them have 3-digit random numbers. Actually, we Block E are pretty lucky because our school--School of Humanities--is the least populated school in Ateneo, so our numbers never reach 200. Diana's random number is somewhere in the 600s.
Afterwards, I went to the library and snagged one of those cubicle-like desks by the wall in the third floor. I had brought my laptop with me, so I spent almost three hours working on my nonfiction portfolio. At least, I hadn't completely wasted my morning in Ateneo, right? I actually worked. If I had stayed home, I would have ended up just reading books. I think I pretty much have the portfolio covered. It's already 21 pages, and I have the requested short nonfiction, medium nonfiction and long nonfiction. I just need an introduction. Then, I'm set to submit it to Xander on Tuesday. I plan to submit it pretty late, though, so Xander wouldn't have the chance to read through like he threatened to do.
At around 10:15, I went to the Rizal Study Foyer to use the internet. Lucky me. I got a unit right beside this PDA couple. The girl had the computer, and the guy had pulled up a chair right behind her and had his arms all over her, reading the computer over her shoulder. I had to leap (ok, an exaggeration) over the guy to get to my seat. They were so...I don't know, cuddly and giggly. I was given ringside seat as they cooed and giggled with each other. And I was just sitting there, laughing in my head. Why do I always get such prime view whenever there's a couple being a little too sweet in public?
I went home at around 11:30. I wanted to look for Jace and drag him off to the caf to eat lunch, but he still had class in Bellarmine at that time, and I didn't feel like waiting, so I just went home. The tricycle I got was so bumpy that I felt as if my internal organs were all in a jumble inside me by the time I got home. There was this one particular moment when the tricycle practically jumped, and I was tossed about inside. I couldn't help but grimace, and when I opened my eyes, the tricycle driver had bent his head and was looking at me, so I guess he saw that pained expression on my face. So, I spent the rest of the ride, laughing my head off inside the tricycle.
I should be studying. I mean, I have the theology exam on Monday. And I have the Philo review class on Sunday I should be preparing for. But I forgot my locker key this morning and couldn't get my philosophy book from the locker. So, that's pretty much out. Agh. I need to set my priorities in order!
