My Biased Opinion
Yumi and I got out of our last--yep, last--poetry class of the semester early...6 pm to be exact. So, we decided to go upstairs to the third floor and play tong-its outside the Fine Arts Theater while waiting for Cerz.
Cerz came out of her classroom to talk to us for awhile. She was going to tell us about the grades she got for her Phone Sex and a Dumb Show directing production. She got cut off, though, coz Yany, her teacher, came out of the classroom and called everyone of his flocks in. Yany saw me and Yumi playing and he urged us to go inside and play there. Ulterior motive? Obvious ba?!? He wants to have the opportunity to join in on the card game! Heh. Well, Yumi and I crushed his dreams of a card game by declining his offer and staying outside.
Anyway, Cerz came out again and finally told us the story. We knew before that everyone had to grade everyone in their class for each one's play. In most of the others' grading sheets, Cerz had gotten high scores, and actually would have gotten a 95% average...if not for one classmate. Aki, the Mitsuko look-alike in Cerz's class. She's the one who did that play that bored me to tears because the only thing that happened for most of the play was that the actress, who was playing the role of an art teacher or something, babbled on and on...and on and on...about making a mask. Anyway, she gave Cerz an 80 something. 83, I think. Or was it 86? Anyway, Cerz had gotten the lowest in Aki's grading sheet--and the next lowest got a 92. For freak's sake, was the girl blind?!? I know I hadn't been able to watch Cerz's play myself, but I'm not being biased. I saw many of the rehearsals, and I know the script. Plus, many of the others had placed Cerz 3rd or 4th in their grading sheets, and I'd gotten feedbacks from people...so that makes me unbiased. And there were others that were mediocre compared to Cerz's play...no offense meant to the others.
It seems that Aki had wanted Cerz's script. Cerz had told me about it long before, how she'd asked, no begged, Cerz for it, but Cerz didn't give it to her because she couldn't find a better replacement for it. So, it's the only thing we could think of why Aki would give Cerz such a low grade, coz it really didn't make sense. And the bad thing was, even Yany was biased in his grading (he has a crush on Aki). He gave Cerz an 86 (which is actually high in his standard), but he gave Aki an 86.5. Why?!? I mean, what was so special about Aki's play?
I know, I know...it's weird that I'm getting so riled up about it when it's not my play, and I'm not involved in the whole thing. I just think it's unfair, coz it's so obvious that Cerz's play was more interesting than Aki's. Isn't the audience's opinion and reactin more important when it comes to this things since they're the ones who watch the play?
And, yeah, maybe I'm sort of biased, in a way. I don't much like Aki. Never did. She was just...I don't know...too pa-effect for lack of a better term. I was sort of weirded out with her when she stood up to introduce her play. Flinching every time the lights are on, with that fan and all...
Haha...yeah, I'm kind of biased, what with Cerz being my friend and me not liking Aki. And I'm only an observer. So maybe I'm not suited to make judgements about it. But I still don't like it.

Ooooh. Harsh much. I still would've wanted to see the play though.
On this entry: Good Lord,I haven't seen this much bias since I watched Fox News after the presidential debate. Hahahaha.
