Falling for you...yeah right.

Hmm...theology with Dr. Asis is actually pretty fun. He's got a dry sort of humor, or sarcasm would probably be a more appropriate term. And the class itself is pretty crazy.
Dr. Asis: Where's the "Sex in Media" group? So, where do you want to focus your report on?
(The choices were tv, film and print)
One Member of the Group: Sex.
Dr. Asis: You know...it's the smart-asses who usually fail this course.
Um, I still don't know the full names of the people in my group, except for one. I only know the nicknames of the others. There's Red, and Mel and Myn and Andy. Isn't that nice?

Literally fell at the feet of one of the maintenance guys today behind Dela Costa, on my way to Yellow Cab with Jace and Jihan.
I was texting Cerz to tell her that we were going to Yellow Cab. When we crossed the very short bridge just past the pocket garden by Dela Costa, I forgot about the steps going down. So, I misjudged my step, and the next thing I knew, the cement floor was rushing up to meet my face...right by the janitor's feet. Twisted, or turned, or whatever, my right foot on the way down, so now, I am sporting one of those cotton bandage around my foot to keep the swelling down, I guess.
I was lucky enough to sprain my foot just a couple of hours before my Voice, Movement and Mime class. So imagine the torture of having to do warm-ups (including jumping jacks) on a sprained foot. The infirmary doctor actually gave me an excuse letter to give to Dexter, but she misunderstood my statement that my next class would involve dancing, and she'd written "PE-Dancing" on the excuse slip. Plus, I didn't actually plan to show the excuse slip to Dexter anyway.
So, there I was, trying to keep up with the others. There was this game we played where we were standing in a circle. One by one, we had to say our name, then accompany it with a movement. Then, as we go along, we had to say the names of and copy the movements of those who'd gone before us. Some of them choice movements that involved jumping and leaping. So, of course, I was panicking there. At least they didn't comment on the way I jumped too low. I was lucky though. If I'd come after Ina or Papu, I would have had to do those intricate moves they chose, including doing a somersault.
Next time, Edlyn, do not text while walking. Especially not before VMM.

Ugh. I don't know if I can take a whole semester of Nonfiction workshop with Marra Lanot. Jeez...I don't know if that class is really a nonfiction writing workshop class or a history lecture class. We spent the entire hour and a half talking about the history of the essay, and even started discussing the pre-Spanish period and Spanish period! I think she even segued into the Japanese period. We didn't even write today. Grr. She reminds me a lot of Dr. Santos.
