I haven't been a good blogger (that the right term?) lately. I don't know why, but I seem to have lost my addiction to writing blog entries in the past month. Sure, I still write my blog entries in my head everytime something interesting or noteworthy happens. But when the time comes and I go online, I just don't have the energy to type it all down anymore. It's probably due to having too many journals than I can handle. My livejournal's just full of memes being passed around in LJ, my blogspot is practically dead. The last thing I'd written was a week ago, and I only posted the lyrics to Phantom of the Opera. My written journal is...well, let's just say there's not much writing going on there lately.
The good thing about the my blogging writer's block, though, is that it seems as though all my writing energy have been transferred back to my stories. Yep, I'm finally back to writing fiction...after about four years of hibernation. Sure, I've written scenes on and off over the past four years, but they're mostly forced, and only a few pages at a time. I would get story ideas in my head (there's only about six pending story ideas scattered all over my room already), but I never find the words to actually write them down. Last Thursday, though, I just suddenly decided to revise one of my earlier stories. Mostly, it was because of the inspiration I got from watching The Phantom of the Opera (yeah, we're back to that again), and I just got this idea in my head that I could somehow revise that story, incorporating the musical into it somehow. And so far, I've written more scenes of one story in six days than I have in the past four years. Hopefully, I'd be able to extend that sudden burst of energy and actually do the pending story ideas, instead of more revisions. When all the pending stories have been written down, then I could revise.
Anyway, enough of that.
It's the last week of February. Just three weeks to go, then it's finals week. The third year of college would be over. Too fast, too soon. It seems as if, as the end of college draws closer, the days begin to fly faster. I don't know how we got to the end of the sem without realizing it. But I suddenly realized it when nonfiction workshop ended last week. All we have to do is submit a profile in the English dept on Thursday. VMM, for the most part, ended this afternoon. We finished all the scene studies awhile ago. All we have left is the final production of The Serpent (MY GOD!) on March 12. The rest of VMM sessions will be devoted to preparing for that. In Theo, the last group presentation will be on Thursday. We'll have our first, and only, long test next week. Which I have to really study for, if I want that decent grade that will bring me back my self-respect. In Film and Design, the seniors will be presenting their film...tomorrow. This is the seniors' last week. In Philo...well, in Philo, we don't have philo tomorrow because philo teacher is giving the final orals for the seniors. Which reminds me, where're our thesis statements!
Another reminder: tomorrow is the production of Jihan's play for her finals in Drama workshop. Edlyn, you have to get over your stage fright, do the best you can, so that you won't destroy Jihan's grade. Ok?
Oh yeah...by the way, I am such a forgetful, careless freak. I need a good bashing on the head. I lost, not one, but TWO, very valuable, very expensive things in the past two weeks. First my cellphone, then the USB drive my brother gave me. The first I've managed to solve because of the simple fact that I was planning to replace it anyway. The second...the second's a little trickier. I cannot let my parents know that I have lost it. I need to replace it and soon (There's also the fact that it's getting really hard trying to transfer files from our PC to my laptop, since I don't have nero in the PC). So, if any kind soul comes across a USB drive anytime soon, please, please tell me, where and how much. The brand's Sandisk Cruzer Mini. Even just the 128 MB, since the 256 MB I used to have is too expensive. What's important is that it looks like my black and silver one. I will be indebted to you for the rest of my life if you can help me. Thank you very much.
