Fine, gaya gaya na ako kay Yumi. Sue me. *sniffs*
Two new poems I've made over the past few days for Monday:
CLAUSTROPHOBIA IN GONZAGA (a haiku)
Hold your breath and dive
through thick mists of heat and sweat
and tight-pressed bodies.
WRITER'S BLOCK
I see it fly before me,
it's light burning in the dark,
winking, smiling, laughing,
luring me with its elusive charm.
It flits and flies about,
soaring up, swooping down.
Dancing, gliding, skipping,
beckoning me forward.
I chase after the light,
like a child after a firefly.
Running, tripping, sliding,
pouncing in desperate greed.
But it slips from my fingers,
its laughter trailing behind,
smiling, mocking, taunting,
always one small step ahead.
Fine, they're both crappy and unpolished. I don't care. I need 8 poems by Monday, and these two will have to do. Besides, they'll still be up for brutal workshops. I'll work on the revisions when I get the bloody feedbacks (No, I'm not British...I mean "bloody" literally).
I'm submitting my poem, "A House No Different from the Rest" too. I know Sir Larry said we should submit new poems. Plus I submitted that last year to Sir Krip. But I never got any feedback from Sir Krip about it. I want one, so Sir Larry will have to accept that poem. Besides, hopefully, he doesn't know it was what I submitted last year. Unless, Sir Krip let him read the sumbitted poems.
Five more to go. God help me.
