There's something wrong with the PC. First, it was the adaptor. For some reason, it was missing this morning, so I couldn't plug in the CPU without it. Mom and I thought that maybe dad stole it to keep us from playing Minesweeper and Bejeweled all the time. Heh. Then, I nicked the adaptor from the plug of my parents' treadmill, and I thought I can finally turn the computer on. But then, there's something wrong with the monitor. I'm not sure if there's a loose cable or if dad got really clever and stole something else. I can't figure out if there's anything else missing from the cables. So, I'm making do with Fuji for internet purposes for now. It's reminding me how bad my eyesight really is, though, seeing as how tiny everything seems to be in this computer. I keep having to squint, despite the contacts.
It's raining hard right now. Been raining hard for days. There's something wrong with the weather everywhere. That hurricane, Rita, in the US, the unusual chill in the air right here in the Philippines. Well, maybe not so unusual for this time of year. But you get the picture. Sign of the end of the world? Sorry, my fear of dying gives me the tendency to see everything as a sign of doomsday drawing closer.
I should be doing my synthesis paper for theology right now. I really should. I told my parents I couldn't go with my mom to Poveda for that pre-confirmation meeting for my cousin, nor to my sister's induction ceremony, because I need to do that paper, which is due on Monday. But I feel so lazy. When did I ever not feel lazy? I can't get my mind focused on that paper. Besides, I feel as if I've already written a million papers for that one class alone ever since the start of the semester. Hell, I think we do a whole lot more at home than in class for that class. We should just not go to class anymore, and just stay at home, working on his papers. I really am tempted to do so, but my conscience is too noisy.
Speaking of theology, we finally did those teachers' evaluations yesterday, for both philo and theo. Ina had told me last Thursday that they'd done theirs that afternoon, and it made me look forward to theo class the next day. Finally, the moment for retribution had arrived. Usually, I'm very kind when it comes to filling up those teachers' evaluation sheet...to the point of over-kindness...more out of laziness than anything else actually. But he told us to take it seriously, because it will help him. Plus, he mentioned that it won't affect our grades since he'd be reading them sometime in the middle of the next semester. So, I took it seriously. I was brutal, yes, but I was honest. I swear. I said what I truly felt about that class. Maybe I chose disagree for most of the questions, but I was always honest every time I shaded those circles. So, my conscience is clear.
Well, that's that. I guess I'd better get started on that paper. At least there are only two weeks of classes for the sem. I'll never have to see him again after the finals in three weeks.
