Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...
Gad...heeeeeeeeelp. Help me get this song out of my head. It's been playing in my head consistently ever since I spent nearly three hours in the Painting Room this morning, just listening to the junior fine arts majors practicing the song--again and again--for what must be a planned fundraising Christmas carolling. I think that after about an hour of listening to them, I could have joined any one of the voice divisions (?) because I'd been listening to each one practice.
Jack Frost nipping at your nose...
I like the song well enough, sure. But damn, how many hours can you actually spend listening to it being sung again and again? If only it hadn't been so damn hot outside, and I didn't have my next class in the music room, and I hadn't just been in CTC, I might have taken Yumi up on her invitation to hang out in CTC 201, where their exhibit was, with them. But there you have it. My laziness today was too strong to be overpowered by my desire to escape listening to Christmas songs again and again.
Yuletide caroles being sung by a choir...
Though I have to admit, they did get much better at it towards the end. Ina Luna was a pretty good teacher.
And folks dressed up like eskimo...
