Yesterday, the Larawan Fine Arts Festival '06 officially began. It was hell up to the very last minute before the first performance was set up. We were in school last Sunday up till 9 pm, maxing out our reservation in the Exhibit Hall, painting newspapers black to cover the wall of windows. The next morning, the whole Exhibit Hall was a complete mess, what with just-dried newspapers spread out all over the floor, things scattered around. It was nerve-wracking, especially when Missy came in right when we were having lunch and saw the state of the room.
And then, the plays started. And people were actually coming in! Thanks to Missy's class, who were all required to go hehe. At least, they went and not-too-reluctantly forked over their twenty bucks for a ticket for the entire week. Some even bought the books--granted, they were all people closely connected to us (i.e. Em, Mrs. Pitargue). But they bought the books :)
Nakakaenganyo. Kahit siguro walang bayad ung plays, nakakatuwa pa rin, kasi maraming taong nanood, tapos magaganda naman ang mga reactions. Though the money was very much welcome :P We're kind of running out of funds. People, please buy our book! We need your money! Hehe. Modesty aside, I think the pieces in our book are all terrific (except, maybe for some *innocent look*).
I hope there would still be people coming in for the rest of the week.
