I haven't been able to give a lot of updates on the fine arts festival. I haven't been home earlier than 9 pm since Saturday, and I'm either too tired out when I'm home, or Lewellyn is using the computer.
It's Thursday night now, and tomorrow's the last day of the Fine Arts Festival. So many months of planning, strategizing, fundraising, conceptualizing and stressing--to the point that we got close to killing each other--and the Fine Arts Festival lasts just five short days. Too short, too fast. I don't know whether I ought to feel relieved or nostalgic or regretful or what.
Like I said in the previous post, turnout's been pretty much more than we dared to expect. Though we're tucked all the way up on the third floor of the Gonzaga Hall, and the Exhibit Hall is a place only few people know, still a lot of people came to our festival. Sure, a lot of them are Missy's students, who were required to go, but they came, and they seemed to leave satisfied enough.
We've earned more than 10K since Monday from the ticket sales and the book. Not a bad deal, considering that most of the 10K came from the ticket sales, and the tickets only cost 20 bucks. And there's still tomorrow.
Problem with the Romeo and Juliet tickets, though. We just can't sell enough...and Steven getting antsy. He chewed out Missy today, who got pretty grim with me awhile ago, what with me and Ina being the ones who man the booth at the Dela Costa mostly. There's just no way we can sell all those tickets. It's really hard to sell tickets that cost P1,250 on a Sunday night. And we're talking more than 300 central orchestra tickets.
*Sigh* We shouldn't have taken that deal. It's probably going to cost us a lot more selling those tickets than it would have if we hadn't done so.
Moving on. Tomorrow, the Fine Arts Festival officially ends. The days are going to be moving so much faster after that. That's the way it always is. When you're done stressing out and wishing it would all end, you can't seem to make time go slow enough. Before we know it, finals will be over. Then, graduation. And it's Goodbye, Ateneo.
Wow. Now I really do feel old.
