This afternoon, we--the graduating seniors--had our last nonfiction writing workshop class for the semester. Well, actually, for our entire lives. Starting next Tuesday, we won't have to go to class anymore, since it's our finals week. Ma’am Karla gave us a seniors send-off pizza party at the Fine Arts Department yesterday. Three boxes of Yellow Cab pizza and three bottles of coke. All devoured within 20 minutes.
*Sigh* More reminders that the end is fast approaching. Graduation day is not until March 25, but for me--and I imagine, for most graduating seniors--the march has already begun.
Tomorrow, we'll have our last Theology and Philosophy classes. I can't say I regret that. Practicum ends, or should end, on Thursday. For iconography, we'll still need to attend Monday's class for the long test. But for the most part, finals week and the passing of requirements are the only things that are left. Only?!? Well, you get the picture.
Here are the last requirements I have to fulfill before I can finally call myself an official college graduate:
Philo: 2nd long test (Feb. 23/24)
Philo: Final oral exams (Mar. 2)
Theo: paper on retreat (deadline: Feb. 24)
Theo: final oral exam (date unknown)
Practicum: personal copy of portfolio (Feb. 23)
Practicum: prod book (Mar. 3)
Iconography: 30 icons and final project (finals week)
Nonfiction: portfolio (Feb. 28)
Whee. All that’s due by next week. Fun.
Haay. Finish line just straight ahead. And still I march on. I just hope that when I cross that line, my legs are no longer as shaky as they are now and there’s a golden cup waiting for me at the end.
