Life has really changed since graduation. In less than a month, I acquired both a job (ok, a part-time job, but who cares? It's going to be fun!) and at least a year's slot in a graduate school somewhere out there that stopped hoping for sometime back.
Starting the week after holy week, I, along with Yumi and Quincy, and most probably Cams, will begin working for Funworks. We already have assignments, and I even already have the manual for the topic of my first assignment (Science of Magic) to study. It's a part-time job, but the pay's not bad at all. And the work sounds like fun! Sure, it will be a lot of work, but it sounds really fun. It's a little disconcerting, though, being asked for SSS, TIN numbers and resident certificates.
In less than two months, I'll be starting my freshman year in Ateneo Law School. Ah...that one still scares me a bit, but hopefully I'll be able to make it past the year. Even if Fr. Dacanay is going to be one of the professors. Heh. And hopefully, the idea of law school will grow on me after a few weeks. There is still that kid in me that can still hope of good things to come from something that seems so scary now.
It's funny. Just a bit over a month ago, we were like any ordinary kids, college students worrying about the finals and how to say goodbye to friends. Now, we're thinking of careers (fine, we've been thinking about that since four years ago, even more, but now we're really deep into it) and futures and lifetime commitments (it comes in many forms, my dear).
It's a bit of a scary world, this adult world. It's going to be interesting finding out how I'll deal with it.
