Doomsday

Doomsday in less than three days. That would be, according to the Civil Code, less than 72 hours. In less than 72 hours, we, the students of the Ateneo Law School are all (well, those who have exams scheduled on Monday, from 3-5 pm) going to take our seats in whatever classroom we're directed to, pens, permits and who knows what else on our table, and exercise whatever creativity we have in our bodies in answering whatever convoluted problems our professors will give us. Hopefully, some of those "creativity" will actually manage to fool our much-too-sharp-minded professors into thinking we actually know what we're talking about.

Midterms exam. It'll be the very first (Intro to law exam doesn't count) test we freshmen are going to take during our four years of law school (if we manage to make it to the very end). As we'd been told time and time again, these midterm exams are going to constitute the first impression the professors will get from us. It's the ultimate test. Do we have what it takes to make it to the very end? Or are we just fooling ourselves into thinking that we could someday be lawyers of the Philippines?

It's panic time for everyone, especially for us freshmen who don't really know what's coming. The upper batches have been through this before, so they're a bit more relaxed (or at least they should be), they're a bit more prepared. I guess none of those tips, none of those stories we'd been given, can really match the experience that they already have. We're the newbies here, creeping our way through.

Let's see if we all survive. Or if, because of this first test of strength, more will fall come sem break. Let's see if I'll be one of those lucky/unlucky people who will say goodbye.

And, yes, Yumi, I know what you're going to say. Heh. Please. No more law school campaigns. I know, I know.

Comments:
hinga. concentrate. hingang malalim.

hmmmmm... i just got to think, you're probably done with your midterms by the time you read this, but then again, knowing you, probably not.

nontheless, breathe. you'll get through this. :) we'll both get through whatever it is we're getting through. hahaha. (that's the word "through" used thrice in a paragraph already - four times if you include this comment... hahahaha...)

haha well, currently di ko magamit net sa bahay so pag nasa school lang ako nakakapagcheck ng net, so parang ganun na rin :P
